A program
to maintain good vision and independence
for our 55 or older patients though early diagnosis,
prevention, and early treatment of eye disease.
Procrastination is the biggest
cause of sight loss in older adults. 2/3 of those legally blind over
age 55 became so from the “big four” age-related eye diseases:
macular degeneration
*cataracts *diabetic retinopathy *glaucoma.
Far too many people in this age
group put off their eye exams until it is too late, even though
these diseases are difficult to treat in their later stages, their
symptoms are often not felt until vision is lost, and regular
checkups are the key to preventing vision loss.
As a
VISION FOR LIFE
patient, you receive regular comprehensive exams and consultations,
specifically targeted for older adult eyes. The include --
-
Diagnostic evaluation and
prognosis.

specialists for treatment, if needed.
-
List of warning signs (halo
vision, etc.) that warrant an immediate call to your optometrist.

prescriptions and eyewear, if needed.
